Technology has improved our lives tremendously over the years. With each new discovery and new applications for that discovery, people have been able to live much healthier and happier lives. Where would we be without all of the electronic and medical technology that we have today? However, I do not believe all technology is good technology. Or that we must put to use every new innovation that comes along just because it's available.

Technology for the sake of technology is just a waste of time. Just because we can ... doesn't mean that we should.

That people become dependent on certain inventions is not neccessarily bad. Take the automobile, for example. Before the turn of the century, people traveled by horse or train. With the invention of the automobile, it has enabled us to travel much farther and faster than ever before. With this ability to travel, it has created invaluable opportunities and advantages for us. Today, most people now depend on the automobile. What was once a unique invention has become an invention of neccessity.

...But is all technology invaluable?
